The Two Roads core values are truly the roots of our culture, one of which is a commitment to inclusion and diversity. We are proud to have a diverse group of employees. By bringing various backgrounds and voices to the table, we are able to provide clients with different perspectives that make the difference in their projects.

In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we’d like to spotlight one of our star Senior Associates, Sandhya Kambhampati, sharing how her personal story contributes to the collective success of Two Roads.

Sandhya’s Path to Consulting

After graduating with honors from Penn State with a Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health, Sandhya set sail for Malaysia to teach English as a Fulbright Scholar. Nearly a year later, she returned stateside to explore the business side of healthcare at a smaller consulting firm in Washington D.C.

Sandhya continued to develop her blend of healthcare and business by attending the University of Michigan to pursue two graduate degrees: one Master’s in Business Administration and the other in Health Services Administration. With three degrees in hand, Sandhya progressed her consulting career in the Bay Area with Accenture, then Kaiser Permanente.

When the pandemic allowed for her husband to work remotely, Sandhya and her family took the opportunity to move closer to her family in Dallas, TX. Sandhya joined the Two Roads team in Fall 2021 and has already made a huge impact!

A Unique Perspective

Sandhya is an intelligent, well-educated, and experienced consultant in her own right. She also brings a unique perspective to her role as a woman, a mother, and a South Asian American.

Sandhya’s life experiences have shaped both the way she lives and works. Her parents, who immigrated from India, instilled the belief that if you work hard with sincere intent, good things will come to you. This principle contributed to Sandhya’s strong work ethic and a humble attitude.

As a working mother, she has learned that time is precious and every moment matters, so she only invests her time in things she values — like creating memories with her family and building a fulfilling career.

One of Sandhya’s favorite aspects of consulting is the ability to help organizations bring a vision to life, building the path to achieve it and navigating the challenges along the way. To do so successfully requires creative, collaborative thinking. She believes the consulting industry could benefit from having more female voices to bring a different viewpoint to projects, especially from seeing the impact that bringing together people with diverse experiences and backgrounds can have on success at Two Roads.

If Sandhya could share advice with young professionals hoping to enter the consulting industry, she’d let them know it’s okay to not know everything. If you say, “I don’t know, but I’ll get back to you,” you’ll gain a lot more respect from clients and colleagues than if you pretend to have all the answers and fall short.

The Two Roads Difference

While Sandhya has experienced the rigorous schedule and challenging workloads of large consulting firms and enterprises, she’s happily settling into the boutique firm life at Two Roads (and rocking our socks off!). Sandhya enjoys the greater sense of community she gets from our close-knit group, and feels invested in the overall growth of the firm since she can more tangibly see her impact.

Since joining Two Roads, Sandhya has been helping develop and launch an automotive company’s vehicle servicing experience, working to make the solution more efficient, streamlined, and data-driven for both customers and dealers. Her focus has been on launch, training, and change management at dealerships to drive adoption of the new tools.

Sandhya loves the deep commitment Two Roads has to the community, including philanthropic partnerships and pro bono work. She has been working with our community service team to determine causes that our colleagues are passionate about and find related opportunities to drive greater engagement in community service. On top of all of these contributions, Sandhya has also helped lead campus recruiting efforts and supported work on a few proposals.

Unsurprisingly, Sandhya is a bit of an overachiever. An avid runner and baker, she has participated in multiple half marathons with the goal of completing a full marathon one day, and she’s so talented at baking cakes she’s even made two wedding cakes — including one for 400+ people! Sandhya is also very family-oriented and loves spending as much time as she can with her husband and two precious children.

We are beyond thrilled that Sandhya chose to grow her career at Two Roads. Between her past experiences and incredible talent, Sandhya makes our team better.
